Moreton Bay Dementia Alliance

We're destigmatising dementia, one step at a time

Beginning on World Alzheimer’s Day, Dementia Action Week is a week dedicated to raising awareness, reducing the stigma, and showing our community support for people living with dementia. This year, it runs from 20-26 September.

We’re celebrating with a walk for dementia on Thursday, 23 September at 9:30 AM. Starting at the North Lakes Hotel Conference & Function Centre, we’ll walk around beautiful Lake Eden to raise awareness for dementia sufferers, their families, and their carers.

Can’t join us in person?

You can still go for your own walk! Post a picture to Facebook with #walkwithme2021 to show your support. Let us know you’re walking on your own and we’ll send you a free info pack of dementia support resources!

Join the walk

We can only allow one entry per ticket due to physical distancing requirements. If you’re attending with friends, make sure they get tickets too! You can still register to participate online if places run out.

Note: caps need to be picked up from Home Instead Senior Care or collected at the in-person event.

Please remember to opt in to for information and updates when purchasing your ticket. We need this to let you know if things change.
